An outdoor adventure destination, Wildwater's Ocoee River Basin Adventure is the base of operations for Wildwater's Ocoeee River rafting operations. The Upper Ocoee River was selected as the location for the 1996 Summer Olympic kayak and canoe events and adventurers can now raft the quarter-mile Olympic section on specified release days.
The Ocoee River has regulated release days for whitewater rafting from spring through the fall. Ages 12 and older can raft on either the Upper, which includes the quarter-mile Olympic course, or raft the Middle which has 5+ miles of solid intermediate class III and class IV rapids. All trips are fully guided.
Wildwater is the original outfitter in the southeast, starting in 1971 on the Chattooga River in South Carolina and expanded to over 25 different outdoor adventures on four rivers in three states along with lodging for individuals and groups.
