Tellico River/Baby Falls – Larry Lane

Tellico River is a free flowing mountain stream in the Monroe County, Tennessee portion of the Cherokee National Forest. A paved National Forest road (Tellico River Road) turns off the Cherohalla Scenic Skyway (Hwy 165) near mile marker 5 and follows the river to the North Carolina state line. The river is stocked with trout from the Pheasant Field Hatchery located near the headwaters. Bald River Falls, an impressive 100' falls on Bald River, can be viewed from the bridge spanning Bald River at its confluence with Tellico River.

How to Get There

Fron I-75, take Hwy 68 South to Tellico Plains and turn on to Hwy 165, the Cherohalla Scenic Skyway. Travel 5 1/4 miles. Turn right onto Tellico River Road.
