Tellico Blueway

Outdoor Adventures, Water Trail (Blueway)

A flat-water float located in the foothills of the Cherokee National Forest. The 11- mile route is located in Monroe County, TN and offers river-side primitive campsites at Cagle Branch.

The Tellico Blueway is an easy-going float trip that starts at the Big Creek ramp on Fairview Road in Madisonville, Tennessee, and goes for about 11 miles to the Ballplay ramp on Highway 360 in Vonore. The trip consists mostly of flat water but there is some current in the winter when the reservoir is at its lowest level. Primitive campsites are located on Cagle Branch.

Look for eagle and osprey nests in the trees along the blueway.
