The trails are not ADA accessible

Shackleford Ridge Park is in a heavily wooded natural setting with rock outcroppings and mountain streams. Trails wind through hilly terrain with several stream crossings. Ferns, native azaleas, and other woodland plants abound. Deer, turkey and various reptiles may be seen.

The park is usually not crowded and visitors may not encounter another person on their walk.

How to Get There

Take U.S. 127 to Signal Mountain Road to James Boulevard to Timberlinks Drive to Shackleford Ridge Drive. Turn onto Sam Powell Parkway at Nolan Elementary School and continue until you reach the parking area at the end of the Parkway.

Pets on leash are welcome.

Hiking and walking are the intended opportunities presented by this park. However, there are four soccer fields and three baseball fields available to the public.
