Horseback Riding and Equestrian Trails

Located in northwest Alabama at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Seven Springs Lodge offers guests a chance to just relax. Guests can take advantage of 20,000 plus acres of picturesque natural woodland. No matter if you are a horse rider or just like to take a stroll through the woods, there is always a trail for you. These trails cater to the experienced and beginners alike. While exploring, guests can find things such as regional historical sites to Native Indian shelters. One of the shelters housed the oldest Indian burial remains found in Alabama dating back 8000 years. To see a map of the trails please see the attached map.

On the property is the unique Rattlesnake Saloon.

How to Get There

From Interstate 65

Turn onto US-72 W
Turn left onto AL-101 S
Continue on US-72 ALT W to Colbert County
Turn left on to AL-247 S. Turn right on to Mt Mills Rd

Property will be on the right.

Parking and Horse Unloading Facilities

For the comfort and containment of your horse(s), we offer several options to choose from. You can choose one of the 153 stalls located next to the lodge. Also, if your group wants to place some of the horses together, we have small pins to keep them in. If you are one that likes to keep them close to your trailer, just ask and you will be placed so that you have a little extra room.

Trail fee:

$5.00 per day...this does not include horses.

$8.00 per day...covered

Guided rides are offered upon request.

Horse Rentals:

2 hour horse rentals are provided by Jimmy Ressler.

You must be 11 years of age or older.

Reservations must be made at least a day in advance.
