ADA Accessibility Notes
Outdoor Chattanooga is ADA--accessible.
Our mission is to make outdoor recreation an attractive, healthy, and distinguishing lifestyle for Chattanooga’s residents and visitor population, which, in turn, will maintain and enhance the value of the region’s natural and built resources, and help grow the region’s economy.
From our facility in Coolidge Park, we host workshops, seminars, outdoor programs and offer information to the public about Chattanooga's outdoor resources.
Outdoor Chattanooga's facility in Coolidge Park is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as LEED Gold. The original structure was part of a manufacturing facility. In 2008, the City of Chattanooga, in partnership with Greenspaces, Chattanooga built out the facility and Outdoor Chattanooga occupied the building in March, 2009.
Among the LEED gold features are a cistern, extensive green roof and green screen wall. The facility also offers bicycle parking and recently installed a bike maintenance rack for free public use.
