Anchoring the base of the picturesque Cumberland Mountains, beautiful Norris Lake has over 33,000 acres of water and over 800 miles of shoreline to fish, explore, camp, and boat. This pristine lake was formed by the TVA in the 1930's from the waters of the Clinch and Powell rivers and much of the surrounding shoreline remains undeveloped. Other activities include scuba diving, cliff jumping, kayaking, houseboats, and water skiing, There are 22 full service marinas offering rentals and 60 plus public boat launches for those who bring boats or choose to select a private island for a weekend camping event

Recreation includes fishing, canoeing, boating, parasailing, scuba diving, jet skiing, kayaking, bird watching, tubing, water skiing, camping and house boat rentals.
