Relive more than a century of the rich, turbulent history of Southeast Tennessee at the McMinn County Living Heritage Museum in Athens, Tennessee. Thirty permanent exhibit areas depict life from the Cherokee Indians and early pioneer settlers through 1940 as well as several changing exhibits and programs throughout the year.
Make plans to attend (and participate in!) our annual quilt show, held every fall, and our annual hooked rug show and hook-in, held in the spring!

The Museum's patio and amphitheater are designed to work in conjunction with a surrounding rain garden to filter and purify rainwater.
