Lilly Pad Campground Hopyard and Brewery

Campground or RV Park
DeAnn Kirgan

Del and Marte’s Lilly Pad is the campground of choice for Obed climbers and their dogs. The campground family also includes hikers, swimmers and friends who come by to visit, play corn hole or other games and sip Del’s craft beers.

The primitive campground has 70 campsites situated on 40 acres. The idyllic setting is complete with cooking tables, a general store and a communal fire pit. Primitive fire shelters sit on either end of the campground. Other amenities include port a potties, a rainy day cooking area, and recycling bins. Water is accessed from a garden spigot. The campground is home to Del’s hop yard and the Lilly Pad Hopyard Brewery, the county’s first craft beer brewery.

“We are a small batch, craft brewery on the Cumberland Plateau adjacent to the Obed Wild and Scenic River National Park. We serve home-grown beer. It is not unusual for us to use our own hops, honey, herbs and berries. Our beer is simple, clean, and delicious. If you decide to swing by and join us for a cold pint or two, you may also want to plan on staying at the Lilly Pad Campground. There is nothing like a good craft beer, a cozy campfire, and some impromptu strumming under the stars. Plus, you won't have to drive home
