Historic Old City

Historic Site or District

The historic Old City features many shops, restaurants and bars that make this a popular place for visitors and locals to visit. The unique architecture from the late 19th century makes it an interesting location to spend the day or night. From Southbound and Barley's bars to the Night Owl Cafe and Crown and Goose restaurants, there is a mixture of many things to do and see. If visitors want to stroll through during the day time, stores such as Crush Boutique, the Fortunate Traveler and Blue Slip Winery will spark interest. Grab a cup of coffee from Old City Java and meander about the streets.

The Historic Old City is located in downtown Knoxville and is considered the warehouse district of Knoxville. Several of the buildings located in the Old City are on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can enjoy taking in the sights of these historic buildings while strolling through the shops, restaurants and bars that are popular in this area.
