Hickory Star Resort and Marina is situated on beautiful Norris Lake with spectacular mountain views as far as you can see. It offers great recreational activities as well as camping and a hotel. There is also a pool that is accessible to visitors staying at the resort; it tends to be a little refreshingly cool due to the fact that the water supply comes out of the mountain spring. With vacation homes and cabins scattered all over the mountain overlooking the natural beauty of East Tennessee and Norris Lake, it makes a great vacation destination.
The marina offers annual boat slip rentals as well as a stationary houseboat community on the water. The marina shop offers all the amenities needed for a day on the lake. Bait and tackle to grabbing a bite to eat at the deli before you hit the water. The campground includes eighty camp sites of which forty are pull through and five are exclusively for tents only. There is also many small trailers sprinkled throughout the campground, some available for rent to the public. Hickory Star is also working on the development of Hickory Point, an upscale lakefront community overlooking the emerald waters of Norris Lake. If you want to get away from civilization, the marina is conviently located within boat driving range to many small islands on which visitors can pitch a tent on. The marina also offers motel and cabin rentals located on the adjacent ridge overlooking the lake. If you’re hungry, stop in at Nordstrom’s Galley, the restaurant at Hickory Star.
