Dandridge Historic District

Historic Site or District
Aerial View – Pat Garrow

The National Register Historic District is the core of the town founded in the 1780s. Four Taverns, or ordinaries, still exist and are currently in use--one of which is the Town Hall. Located on the shore of Douglas Lake, Dandridge is two miles from I-40, Exit 417, and is nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. We are 30 minutes from Knoxville, slightly over an hour from Asheville NC, and about 30 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
