Cumberland Gap Artists CoOp

Community, Local Artist, Musician, or Craftsperson

The Cumberland Gap Artists' Co-Op is a non-profit collective located in the historical town of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, along the Wilderness Road where Daniel Boone lead the first pioneers through the Cumberland Gap into Kentucky and on to settle the West.

The mission of the Cumberland Gap Artists' Co-Op is to promote the arts and crafts of Appalachian artisans in the tri-state area of Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia. Contributions from the Cumberland Gap Artist's Co-Op are made to non-profits of the memberships choice.

Workshops teach the various arts and crafts that are part of each artist's heritage, such as painting, quilting, tatting, woodworking, and pottery. Modern forms of artwork such as photography and illustration are also offered through workshops.

The Co-Op features and sells arts and crafts by local artisans in the gallery and online.

After-school art classes are offered to the children of our local schools and art supplies are provided.
