The week begins on Saturday, September 26 at Goat Island Brewing for Goatoberfest. The fun continues on Monday & Wednesday with German meals from St. John’s & Sacred Heart. Finally, our main event kicks off Friday, October 2 at Depot Park, and we have two days FULL of fun on Friday and Saturday! October 2 & 3, 2020. ALL EVENTS OUTDOORS!

The 2020 Cullman Oktoberfest is an annual celebration of Cullman's German heritage! The 39th annual Cullman Oktoberfest will be held October 2-3, 2020. DUE TO COVID ALL EVENTS WILL BE OUTSIDE FOR 2020. PLEASE SEE OUR WEBSITE FOR UPDATED ACTIVITIES.

A tribute to its German beginnings, Cullman Oktoberfest is five day event offering something for the entire family including activities for children, live German music daily, eating contests, a biergarten, charity bed race and more.

Throughout the week, local restaurants serve German meals daily. For children, a variety of activities are offered and there are free guided candlelight walking tours. Local merchants host nightly events featuring beer, brats, and live music. Located adjacent to the Festhalle, the biergarten, featuring Oktoberfest beer, Alabama’s craft beers and Alabama breweries, is opened nightly except for Sunday. A variety of competitive events, including a pickle eating contest, paper airplane contest and stein hoist contest, are held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
