Cherokee Rock Village
Cherokee Rock Village is a 200-acre public park sitting atop Lookout Mountain, overlooking Weiss Lake inside Cherokee County, Alabama. Unique tall rock formations and caves offer the best in adventure and sightseeing. Its most notable features are massive, house-sized sandstone boulders and stone formations up to 200 feet high that date back 300 million years to the Pennsylvanian Period. Activities include rock climbing, bird watching, geocaching and primitive camping. There are 14 miles of mountain hiking and trail running, along with equestrian and mountain biking trails.
