Tishomingo Tourism's Trash n Treasures along the Tenn-Tom ( TTTT ) is an annual 50+ miles of yard sales, mostly along Mississippi Highway 25 ( N-S ) and US Hwy 72 (E-W ) in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway connects the nearby Tennessee River from Pickwick Lake to the Gulf of Mexico at Mobile and has a great positive impact on the economic development of Eastern Mississippi.
This two day event has been held yearly since 2007 and attracts buyers, vendors and "lookey-loos" from all over the SouthEastern United States. While promoted by the Tishomingo Tourism Council, the TTTT is a largely unregulated yard sale and is mostly presented by non-commercial sellers. Thus, haggling is the watchword of the day.
Food and beverages are for sale in some locations and there numerous restaurants open but visitors are advised to carry a supply of beverages, especially for children.
On Highway 72, between Corinth and Iuka, is the small town of Burnsville ....just on the side of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. Many vendors set up on both sides of US Highway 72 and several restaurants will be open.
Proceeding East on Highway 72 to the IUKA exit, go North or South on Hwy 25 to find yard sales, especially concentrated in IUKA to the North and Belmont to the South.
